Long Lunch Event 35 - Graphical House

LongLunch Event 35 - Graphical House

Fresh up this morning from the Graphical House talk put on by Long Lunch, at the Glasgow School of Arts. This was quite an inspiring little event. The partners of Graphical House and what was Skratch went through many slides of what got them where they are today.

From humble beginnings in a spare room and patio furniture, right through to advertising campaigns for Schuh and prospectuses for The University of West of Scotland, they've certainly had an interesting progression. I only wish now I'd taken some notes but that would have been like writing in the cinema.

I'm very much looking forward to the next event.

  1. I like this photograph that you took of this classroom at the Glasgow School of Arts. I just recently learned about how the school was designed by Charles Rennie Mackintosh, who is the architect that the country of Scotland chose over Frank Lloyd Wright. I learned this in a Graphic Design class at my current school, which is SouthUniversity - Columbia Campus in South Carolina, United States. The angle that you shot this picture captures the class in a novel way. I like how you chose to use grey-scale instead of colour. Could you tell me more about this photograph's setting sometime?

  2. Hey Austin. I'm glad you like the picture. All the meta data is available on Flickr here http://www.flickr.com/photos/adamwilson/4524807041/meta/. To be honest this was rescued in Lightroom, I remember trying to balance the camera on a seat to get this shot without a flash. Nightmare.
