National Museum of Scotland

I think the main part of the Museum closed not too long after I moved to Edinburgh. So not really having any memories to go on, my trip to the museum was an endless array of possibilities. I've got to admit I'm a bit of a killjoy. I hate it when people w a l k s l o w l y i n f r o n t o f m e e v e r y w h e r e, overcrowded spaces, and bad coffee. But look past a few foibles and the Museum really is a fantastic day out for everyone. My favourite part was the taxidermies, and 'fake animals' mixed in there too. Why a scarab and a giant crab were sharing a display cabinet I'll never know.

I look forward to going back soon, this first run was more of a sweep. This is the bit where I shut up and let the pictures do the taking.
